As we celebrate Hanuman Jayanti, let’s explore what makes Hanuman so extraordinary and the incredible superpowers he possesses.
He lifted mountains, not weights
During the battle of Ramayana, Lakshmana was badly injured. The only cure? A magical herb called Sanjeevani, found in the Himalayas. Hanuman was sent to fetch it. But when He couldn't recognize the exact herb, He carried the entire mountain to save Lakshmana.
Sky is not the limit
Hanuman could soar across the sky thanks to a divine blessing. The wind God Vayu, gave Him the power to fly as fast as the wind itself. With just one leap, Hanuman could cross oceans, chase the sun or travel mountains - all with the speed of the wind.
Shape Shifting
Hanuman had the power to shape-shift - He could change His size and form at will. When He entered Lanka to find Sita, He made Himself small (the size of a squirrel) to sneak past the guards. But when facing the demon army, He grew giant-sized to fight them.
His greatest strength - Love & Humility
- Pure Love for Rama: Hanuman's power was driven by unwavering love and devotion toward Lord Rama
- Humility before strength: Though incredibly strong and gifted, Hanuman never showed arrogance.
- Selfless Service: Hanuman never sought personal glory. Every action He took was for Rama's mission, not for Himself
