Ancient wisdom

Ayurveda is one of the world's oldest holistic healing systems that has been passed down through generations. It is still widely practiced today with modern medicine

Use of metals

In addition to herbs and plants, Ayurveda also uses metals like gold, silver and mercury in treatments. These metals are purified and combined with herbs to create potent medicinal formulations known as "bhasmas"

Focus on prevention

Ayurveda emphasizes on preventive healthcare. It advocates for daily and seasonal routines known as "Dinacharya" and "Ritucharya".

  • Ritucharya refers to adapting a diet according to seasons. For example, warm foods during winter and cool drinks during summer to stay hydrated.

Ayurveda faces several challenges in the modern world, such as the lack of scientific validation, quality control and safety concerns. But the principles of diet, lifestyle and meditation have improved mental health and managed chronic conditions.
