A peacock appeared and informed Rama that there was a water source nearby. However, the jungle was dense and difficult to navigate, The peacock offered to lead the way by dropping its feathers along the path for Rama to follow.

Rama and Sita, grateful for the peacock's offer, following him closely behind as it led them through the winding paths of the forest. The peacock continued to drop its feathers even though it was aware that this kind of shedding may lead to its death.
